Ralph M. Johnson, age 87, of Alma, Nebraska formerly of Stamford,
Nebraska died Monday, July 16, 2007 at Harlan County
Hospital at Alma, Nebraska. He was born December 31, 1919 at Stamford,
Nebraska to Lowell and Edith
(Hanson) Johnson.
He grew up in the Stamford
area, graduating from Stamford
High School with the
class of 1938. He served in the US Coast
Guard from 1942 to 1946. He graduated
from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln,
Nebraska with a degree in
agriculture. He taught High School for one year following
graduation. He ran a successful cattle
operation at the family farm South of Stamford, Nebraska for a number of years.
Through the Cooperative Extension Service he taught agriculture classes to
many young
farmers in the area. He moved to the Good Samaritan Nursing Home
in Alma,
Nebraska several years ago.
Preceded in death by Parents and
Sister; Carol Ellis.
Survivors include: Brother Ervin of Beaver City, Nebraska.
Brother-in-law: John and wife Ahda Ellis of Lincoln,
Nebraska.
Nieces: Ann
and husband Keith Pinto of Houston, Texas, Jill Ellis of Scottosbluff, Linda
and husband Royce Jaeger of York and Jean & husband Nathan Reckling of
Hickman, Nebraska. Two great nieces and
one great nephew.

Tuesday, July 17, at 1 PM until 8 PM; Wednesday, 9 AM
until 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver
City, Nebraska and
prior to services Thursday at the church.
Funeral services will be Thursday,
July 19, 2007 at 10 AM at First
Christian Church in Beaver
City with Pastor Phil
Olsen, officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery,
rural Stamford, Nebraska. Wenburg
Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska in charge of
arrangements.
