Beaver City, Nebraska

Dwight L. Vise, age 70, of Beaver City, Nebraska died Monday, May 9, 2005 at Tri-Valley Hospital at Cambridge, Nebraska.  He was born July 20, 1934 at Wilsonville, Nebraska to Everett & Florence (McConnell) Vise.

 

He grew up in the Wilsonville, Nebraska area and graduated from Wilsonville High School with the class of 1952.  Following graduation he moved to Norton, Kansas.  He married Ruth Freede in 1955 they divorced in 1971.  While living in Norton he worked for Thompson Sand & Gravel, Ideal truck line and Meadow Gold Milk as a mechanic.  He married Pauline Schiltz on September 2, 1972 and they divorced in 1978.  He moved to Oakley, Kansas in 1970 where he was employed by Siebert Sand & Gravel and later Allied Sand & Gravel Company until 1990. While living in Oakley his nickname was “Ducky”.   He married Ruth (Cozad) Gallentine on November 26, 1982 at Oakley, Kansas.  They moved to Beaver City, Nebraska in 1990 where he was employed at Sands Livestock.  He started working for the city of Beaver City, Nebraska in 1991 retired in 1998.  Following retirement he worked at the Senior Center and  later at the Beaver City Plaza.  He had attended the Christian Church while living in Norton and the Grace Brethren Church  while living in Beaver City, Nebraska.

 

Preceded in death by parents; Son Richard Vise in 1990, Step-son Shawn Gallentine in 1994.

                                             Bob Schiltz & wife Durena of Garden City, Kansas

           4 Step-Daughters:  Brenda  & husband Marcus Krontz of Oakley, Kansas

                                          Janet & husband Glen Boeger of Colby, Kansas

                                          Sharon & husband Richard Zerr of Oakley, Kansas

                                           Connie Schiltz of Colby, Kansas

Viewing & vistation will be Wednesday, May 11, 2005, 9 AM till 8 PM at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Nebraska and prior to services Thursday at the church.  Condolences or personal reflections can be left at www.wenburgfuneralhome.com.

 

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 12, 2005 at 1:30 PM at Grace Brethren Church in Beaver City, Nebraska with Pastor Dwain Fowler, officiating.  Burial will be at Lyle Cemetery at Lyle, Kansas.  Wenburg Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska in charge of arrangements.
